The world synthetic rubber industry began in the 1930s.In 1962, the consumption of synthetic rubber in the world exceeded that of natural rubber for the first time, and it has been maintained till now.Synthetic rubber can be regarded as the cornerstone of world transportation. It was originally a substitute for natural rubber and has become an indispensable raw material for all high-performance tires.In the sealing, insulation and other fields also plays an irreplaceable role, whether it is high temperature and high pressure resistant rubber seals in washing machines, or golf core or triangle belt, belt and other products, need to use synthetic rubber.
On November 14, 1958, the first set of chloroprene rubber plant in chongqing changshou chemical plant was put into operation, which started the history of China's industrial production of synthetic rubber.Through technology introduction and independent research and development, China has fully realized the industrialization production of seven synthetic rubber varieties, including butyl benzene, butyl butyl, ethylene-propylene, butyl nitrile, chloroprene and SBCS (styrene polymer) at the end of last century, and the industrialization of isoprene rubber in 2010.After 57 years of development, China's synthetic rubber industry has developed into an important industry with a wide variety of products, complete varieties and complete product system, and now ranks first in the world in equipment capacity, annual production and consumption.
Beginning: difficult independent research and development
China's research and exploration of synthetic rubber began in the early 1950s, and industrial production began in the late 1950s and early 1960s.In 1958, 2000 tons/year chloroprene rubber production plant was built in chongqing, and 13500 tons/year styrene butadiene rubber and 1,500 tons/year nitrile rubber production plants were built in lanzhou with the assistance of the former Soviet union in 1960-1962, marking the beginning of China's synthetic rubber industry.
From the early 1950s to the early 1980s, China's synthetic rubber industry was a stage of comprehensive scientific and technological breakthroughs and independent development.In 1951, chloroprene rubber was first synthesized in the laboratory by the former northeast academy of sciences (the predecessor of changchun institute of applied chemistry, Chinese academy of sciences).In 1956, the test equipment was moved to chongqing and transformed into a new device with a monthly output of 1 ton.In the same period, styrene-butadiene rubber test unit moved to lanzhou butadiene and transformed into ethanol method as the raw material of whole flow test device, and thiokol has moved to jinxi chemical plant.These three sets of test equipment have made technical exploration and experience reserve for the industrialization of three kinds of synthetic gels.
And from the early 1960 s to the early 80 s, under the condition of the international environment at that time, China cannot introduce technology to the normal trade, only set the national science and technology, the production technology of main synthetic rubber varieties to conduct a comprehensive research and battle of science and technology, strive to independently develop Chinese synthetic rubber industry, attaches great importance to by party and state leaders.
Among them, shunde rubber is a representative variety successfully developed in China's independent battle against key problems. Yanshan petrochemical synthetic rubber factory has built China's first set of industrial production equipment with an annual capacity of 15,000 tons.With the improvement of technology, butadiene rubber once developed into the rubber with the largest consumption in China.The research and development of styrene-butadiene rubber, ethylene-propylene rubber, butyl rubber and isoprene rubber have also made different progress.
