History of rubber additives

1.The first generation of rubber auxiliaries

[1839~1904] in this era, the rubber auxiliary products are represented by inorganic vulcanization promoters. The rubber industry has entered the era of inorganic vulcanization promoters, but it also has problems such as low efficiency of promotion and poor vulcanization performance.

In 1839, vulcanization was discovered.

In 1844, inorganic sulfide accelerator basic lead carbonate was discovered.

In 1846, the discovery of foaming agents, the discovery of sulfur chloride cold vulcanization method.

In 1904, it was discovered that carbon black could be used in rubber.

2.The third generation of rubber auxiliaries

[1980~present] the main characteristics of rubber additives in this stage are environmental protection and multi-function.

In 1980~1981, the promoter NS was developed.

In 1985, environmental protection promoter MTT was introduced.

Since 1991, environmental protection non-nitrosamine promoters, sulfonamides, zinc salt promoters, sulfides, anticoke promoters and other promoters have been developed and applied successively. ZBPD, TBSI, CBBS, TBzTD, TIBTD, ZDIBC, OTTOS, ZBEC, AS100 and other products have been invented successively.
