At the recent Hannover International Tire Technology Exhibition in Germany, Michelin won the "2019 Tire Manufacturer" award. This award highlights Michelin's achievements in environmental protection, product innovation and improved tire performance. The awards jury consists of 31 tire and car manufacturers, industry experts and university scholars. TÜV SÜD tire specialist Judge Klaus Baltruschat said: “Michelin’s environmental initiatives last year were very eye-catching and one of the few tire manufacturers committed to the 2048 sustainable development goals. Over the years, Michelin has been innovative and sustainable. The concept, the use of rubber micropowder and the design of the tread pattern, allows the tire to have excellent performance close to the wear limit, and similar examples are numerous."
Michelin Group R&D Director Pierre Robert said: “The competition in the entire tire manufacturing industry is fierce, and Michelin is very honored to win the annual tire manufacturer's award. For more than 120 years, innovation has always been the core of Michelin's success. This award is also for more than 6,000 of us. Recognition of pioneering work."
