The curing accelerator SUNNYJOINT® CBS-80 provides a considerably long scorch time, great processing safety and a fast full cure. SUNNYJOINT® CBS-80 is used as a sole accelerator for the low sulphur vulcanization or in combination with dithiocarbamate or thiuram accelerators. Thevulcanizates obtained have good ageing resistance and a good compression set. The scorch time of compounds containing SUNNYJOINT® CBS-80 in combination with thiurams and dithiocarbamates is noticeably reduced. Thiourea has a strong secondary acceleration effect on SUNNYJOINT® CBS-80, mainly in mixes containing little sulphur. In compounds which are accelerated with mercaptanes and thiu-rams. SUNNYJOINT® CBS-80 may delay scorch.
The thermoplastic, excellent compatible EPDM/EVA binder which is combined with active dispersing promoters allows much more easily and quickly incorporation and excellent dispersion in the rubber mixing. In this way, optimal activity of the effective CBS is assured.
NR: primary: 0.5-1.0 phr with 2.5 – 3.5 phr sulphur
secondary: 0.5 phr with1.5-3.0 phr sulphur and 0.3 mercapto or thiuram accelerators
SBR: 1.0-1.4 phr with 1.0-1.4 phr with 1.5-2.5 phr sulphur and 0-0.2 phr thiuram accelerator
