Thailand's natural rubber exports increased by 6.87% year-on-year in May 2019.

According to data released by the Thai Customs, in May 2019, the export volume of Thai natural rubber (including tobacco sheet rubber, standard rubber, latex, Zou rubber, composite rubber and others) was about 265,800 tons, and the export volume increased by 6.87% from the previous month. It fell by 11.91%.


Among them, the export volume of Thai tobacco sheet rubber accounted for 15% of the total export volume, and the export volume was flat compared with that in April; the export volume was about 38,800 tons, down 16.5% year-on-year and 5.2% month-on-month.


The export volume of standard rubber exports accounted for 47% of its total exports, about 224,500 tons, up 14.0% from the previous month and down 13.8% year-on-year.


The export of mixed rubber was about 87,900 tons, a decrease of 4% from the previous month and a 32% drop from the same period last year.


Natural latex exports accounted for 34% of its total exports, about 91,600 tons, an increase of 4.6% year-on-year and a 1% increase from the previous month.


The export volume of other rubber seeds is relatively small.
