THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN DPTT and MBTS

DPTT is used as a primary or secondary accelerator or sulfur donor for IIR, CSM, EPDM, NR, IR, SBR, and CR. It can improve the heat resistance and aging properties of vulcanized rubber, especially suitable for light color products.



TRA is a thiura-like accelerator, medium-acid, fast-type, and often used in combination with DM, a thiazole accelerator.


TRA can also be used as a sulfur donor, and can be used alone in specially formulated formulations, but DM must be used in combination with sulfur.

Third, TRA is nitrite and produces nitrite, which is carcinogenic. The thiazoles of the DM class are currently considered to be non-carcinogenic.
