A few days ago, the report issued by the Rubber General Administration of the Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries of Cambodia showed that from January to October this year, Cambodia exported a total of 116,500 tons of rubber, a year-on-year increase of 23%.
At the same time, international rubber prices fell 19% year-on-year to $1,355 per ton. From January to October, Cambodia’s total rubber revenue was approximately $218 million.
The data shows that Cambodia's national rubber planting area is 436,634 hectares, and the current harvested area is nearly half.
The Cambodian government hopes that the rubber exports in 2020 will reach 290,000 tons.
