A reasonable vulcanization process should have four conditions:
1. There should be enough scorch time to match the processing. It is necessary to ensure that the rubber does not burn during the processing. For the model products, it is necessary to ensure that the rubber has a certain softening and flow in the vulcanization model to fill the model, so the scorch time should not be too short. However, the scorch time should not be too long, otherwise it will prolong the curing time. For non-model products, the scorch time should not be too long due to the need for faster setting speed.
2. There should be a faster vulcanization rate (in the thickness of the product, thermal conductivity, heat source allowed conditions) to improve production efficiency.
3. There should be a long flattening period of vulcanization to ensure the safety in the vulcanization operation, reduce the risk of sulfur and the uniform vulcanization of the rubber in all parts of the product, so as to meet the needs of uniform vulcanization of thick products and multi-component products.
4. While meeting the above requirements, there should be higher performance, that is, increase the peak value of the vulcanization curve to improve the quality of the product.
