Vulcanization accelerator plays a very important role in the vulcanization process of rubber. It can greatly accelerate the reaction between rubber and vulcanization agent, improve the productivity, and at the same time improve the physical and mechanical properties of vulcanized rubber. DM is an essential type of main auxiliary agent in the rubber industry.The synthesis method of DM is mainly based on the promoter M as raw material, which is oxidized by using oxidant.Commonly used oxidants are nitric acid, nitrite, chlorate, hypochlorite, persulfate, nitrogen chloride, etc.Although each of the above methods has its own advantages, most of them will produce harmful by-products or products of low quality, which do not meet our research requirements.
High quality DM requires low impurity content, high melting point and short melting process.In this process, M is oxidized by hydrogen peroxide, and DM is prepared with isopropyl alcohol as the carrier. Hydrogen peroxide is a green chemical reagent, and the solvent used, isopropyl alcohol, can be recycled without causing pollution to the environment.At present, DM produced by hydrogen peroxide oxidation is still rare in China. Through a large number of experiments, we have basically found the appropriate process conditions.
