Industrial application of accelerator M

In the 1920s, mercaptobenzothiazole was applied as a vulcanization accelerator in Italy and the United States, and the thiazole vulcanization accelerator has developed rapidly.

Promoter M belongs to the earliest thiazole vulcanization accelerator product, which is still in use today and has a wide range of applications. According to statistics, in 2008 China's total output of rubber auxiliaries was about 601,000 tons, of which the accelerator production was 213,000 tons, accounting for 35.4% of the total rubber auxiliaries production, while the accelerator M and its derivatives production was 164,000 tons, accounting for about 164,000 tons. The total output of rubber additives was 27.2%.


Promoter M application field

It is a general-purpose rubber vulcanization accelerator, a natural rubber and a synthetic rubber accelerator, which can be used alone or in combination with a sulfurized carbamate, thiuram, anthraquinone, and other alkali promoters. It has a rapid promoting effect on natural rubber and general sulfur-sulfur rubber. It has a low thio-critical temperature and is easy to disperse and not pollute in rubber. Mainly used in the manufacture of tires, tapes, rubber shoes and other industrial rubber products. It is a major acid vulcanizing agent in IR, NR, SBR, NBR, HR and EPDM systems. It has a medium vulcanization rate and can be used in combination with other vulcanizing agents such as DM and TMTD. It has a low vulcanization temperature and is easily dispersed and non-contaminated in rubber. It is used in the manufacture of tires, tapes, rubber shoes and other industrial rubber products, but it cannot be used as a food material.
