Performance natural rubber has higher tensile properties and excellent ozone aging resistance, in addition to the general can better competent for some USES of natural rubber, can meet the needs of high requirements for use, the application prospects are very broad.However, in the actual production, it is found that high performance natural rubber, like ordinary rubber, will be hard to store in the process of transportation and storage.The occurrence of this phenomenon will lead to the uneven apparent viscosity of the rubber sample, which will have a serious impact on its subsequent production and processing, and also lead to the partial loss of high performance of rubber.A new constant viscosity agent, 2-mercapto benzothiazole (MBT), was used to prepare high performance natural rubber with constant viscosity.In addition, by means of testing and analysis, the occurrence of storage hardening and the constant viscosity effect of MBT were studied theoretically.Constant viscosity studies showed that a small amount of MBT could not provide a better constant viscosity effect for high performance natural rubber.When the addition of MBT in more than 0.15%, accelerated storage after the sample Mooney viscosity, plastic value change is small, storage hardening value train Mv, train P also in 4 below, rubber achieved good constant viscosity effect.The results of plastic retention also show the constant viscosity effect of MBT.Molecular weight, gel content and infrared study showed that during the process of storage hardening, rubber was cross-linked due to the presence of inner aldehyde group, and the subsequent storage hardening could be inhibited by adding MBT in advance to react with the aldehyde group, thus verifying the mechanism of the aldehyde group in storage hardening.Studies on the effect of MBT on high performance show that the effect of MBT on high performance is basically favorable.In terms of tensile properties, the adverse effects of MBT on the tensile properties themselves can be basically ignored, and the tensile properties after accelerated storage can be maintained to a greater extent, which can effectively solve the impact of storage hardening on the tensile properties of rubber.In terms of the ozone aging resistance, the addition of MBT can promote the ozone aging resistance under a certain dosage range, and the best ozone aging performance can be achieved when the addition amount is 0.15%.The addition of MBT can accelerate the preservation of ozone aging resistance in storage.Although the effect was not significant, the final ozone aging resistance after storage was still better than that of group A rubber without constant adhesive before storage when 0.15% ~ 0.20% was added.
